- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be filled. - He who gets wisdom loves his own soul.
He who keeps understanding shall find good. - A highway will be there, a road,
and it will be called “The Holy Way”.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
but it will be for those who walk in the Way.
Wicked fools shall not go there. - Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no kind of work. It is a Sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
- I have set Yahweh always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain;
but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. - You shall walk in all the way which Yahweh your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you shall possess.
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die. - Yahweh redeems the soul of his servants.
None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned. - If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger,
but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing. - You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
- I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” - He answered, “Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart.”
- You shall be holy to me, for I, Yahweh, am holy, and have set you apart from the peoples, that you should be mine.
- Yahweh is my shepherd;
I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
- But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of God’s mouth.’”
- If a man prevails against one who is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
- For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”
- Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever. - Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
- He who loves silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity.
