And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
All that you do must be done in love.Let all your things be done with charity.
So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf. For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.
Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive. But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass.I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass.
Not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you would inherit a blessing. Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
And He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Therefore you have no excuse, you foolish person, everyone of you who passes judgment; for in that matter in which you judge someone else, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
