- Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
- Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. - My times are in Your hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin. - So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
- I will never forget Your precepts,
For by them You have given me life. - Yes, in the way of Your judgments,
O Lord, we have waited for You;
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You. - Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. - Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- I have chosen the way of truth;
Your judgments I have laid before me. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
Give ear to my supplications!
In Your faithfulness answer me,
And in Your righteousness. - Remove falsehood and lies far from me;
Give me neither poverty nor riches—
Feed me with the food allotted to me. - Yet I am the Lord your God
Ever since the land of Egypt,
And you shall know no God but Me;
For there is no savior besides Me. - He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.
- With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! - I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions,
And like a cloud, your sins.
Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. - Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- “And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.”
- Direct my steps by Your word,
And let no iniquity have dominion over me. - Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
- “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets preached, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Turn now from your evil ways and your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not hear nor heed Me,” says the Lord.
- “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
