- Shew me thy ways, O Lord;
teach me thy paths. - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
- With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - Seek the Lord, and his strength:
seek his face evermore. - For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
- Seek the Lord and his strength,
seek his face continually. - The face of the Lord is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. - But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
- The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
- Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name. - Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. - For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
- For they got not the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them:
but thy right hand, and thine arm,
and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me
thy comforts delight my soul. - If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
- Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
- Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee. - And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame.Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.Next verse!With image
