The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.I have treasured Your word in my heart, So that I may not sin against You.
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!
I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.I acknowledged my sin to You, And I did not hide my guilt; I said, “I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? Far from it! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin. Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
