And let us consider how to spur one another to love and good works. We also know that the Son of God has come and given us understanding so that we can know the one who is true. And we are in the one who is true, since we are in his Son Jesus Christ. Likewise, you who are husbands must show consideration for your wives in your life together. Treat your wife with respect, for even though she is the weaker partner, she is also an equal heir of God’s gift of life. Thus, your prayers will not be hindered in any way. 1 Peter 3:7	In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. Above all, maintain the fervor of your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8	Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. sin love neighbor
But Jesus has now received a ministry that is far superior, for he is the mediator of a far better covenant that has been established on better promises. Hebrews 8:6	But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and offered worship and service to the creature rather than to the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural practices. Likewise, men gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameful acts with men and received in their own persons the fitting penalty for their perversion. Furthermore, since these people did not see fit to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their depraved way of thinking and to all types of vile behavior. Romans 1:25-28	They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. idols sexuality desires

What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! Romans 6:15	Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! sin grace law
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. Romans 3:20	For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. sin law righteousness
You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23	For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful. He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For our eyes are fixed not on what is seen but rather on that which cannot be seen. What is visible is transitory; what is invisible is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18	So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. eternal life materialism understanding
For the carved images of the nations are powerless; they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest, fashioned with a knife by craftsmen and embellished with silver and gold. Then they are fastened with hammers and nails to prevent them from toppling. Like scarecrows in a cucumber field they are unable to speak, and they must be carried from place to place since they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they can do no harm, nor do they have any power to do good. Jeremiah 10:3-5	Their ways are futile and foolish. They cut down a tree, and a craftsman carves an idol. They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over. Their gods are like helpless scarecrows in a cucumber field! They cannot speak, and they need to be carried because they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of such gods, for they can neither harm you nor do you any good. idols fear
However, to avoid the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2	But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband. desires marriage relationships
As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12	Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. humility gentleness patience
For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24	For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. sin grace Savior

Everyone who sins comes from the devil, for the devil has been a sinner from the very beginning. The Son of God appeared for this very purpose: to destroy the work of the devil. 1 John 3:8	But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. sin devil
What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? Romans 6:1-2	Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? sin grace life

Exalted at God’s right hand, he received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.
