| But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles. | Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen, how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles. |

How narrow is the gate and the way is restricted that leads to life! There are few who find it. |
| For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. | For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished. |
| His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ | His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ |
| Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. | Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. |
| Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. | My doctrine will drop as the rain. My speech will condense as the dew, as the misty rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb. |
| For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. | For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. |
