- By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
- I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

- This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts. - Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.
- So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
- Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
- For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
- For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
