and that it is already in the world. - And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God.

- For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want.
- Hence, I advise you to be guided by the Spirit, so that you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- And take the helmet of salvation as well as the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- This is how we can be certain
that we abide in him
and that he abides in us:
he has given us a share in his Spirit. - The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
