deliver us and wipe away our sins
for your name’s sake. - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love so that they may grow rich in their complete understanding as they come to the knowledge of the mystery of God, that is, Christ.
- The entire community of believers was united in heart and soul. No one claimed any of his possessions as his own, for everything was held in common.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
causing the heart to rejoice.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving light to the eyes. - Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
those who are guided by it will grow in understanding.
His praise will last forever. - Adulterers! Do you not know that love of the world results in enmity with God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a lover of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well.
- Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cries of supplication. - In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- To these God chose to make known how rich is the priceless glory that this mystery brings to the Gentiles—Christ in you, your hope of glory.
- For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
- The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who are peacemakers.
