Bible Verses about 'Sufferings'
For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. | For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. |

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! | Surely he has borne our sickness and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. |

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. | For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps. |
“Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” | Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire. |
