- Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted. - He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.”
Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! - Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. - But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

The Lord is with those who uphold my life. - Turn at my rebuke;
Surely I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - You shall not afflict any widow or fatherless child. If you afflict them in any way, and they cry at all to Me, I will surely hear their cry; and My wrath will become hot, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.
- The vine has dried up,
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate tree,
The palm tree also,
And the apple tree—
All the trees of the field are withered;
Surely joy has withered away from the sons of men. - He who walks with integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will become known. - In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him. - You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.” - He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
- Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. - Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield. - Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work. - Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
- Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. - Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
- Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
