- In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;

for your goodness' sake, O Lord! - Keep straight the path of your feet,
and all your ways will be sure. - Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness. - Return, faithless Israel,
says the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
says the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.
- I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples,
and I will sing praises to you among the nations. - From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this ought not to be so.
- Husbands, in the same way, show consideration for your wives in your life together, paying honor to the woman as the weaker sex, since they too are also heirs of the gracious gift of life—so that nothing may hinder your prayers.
- Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your steadfast love. - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - Do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.
- Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
- Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.
