For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. - “And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.”
- When they had pasture, they were filled;
They were filled and their heart was exalted;
Therefore they forgot Me. - And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
- Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
- When goods increase,
They increase who eat them;
So what profit have the owners
Except to see them with their eyes? - And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
- Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
