You shall not take advantage of any widow or fatherless child. If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it? “I, Yahweh, search the mind. Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.
A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.Because in much wisdom there is much grief; and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain.

“Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?”“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”
