“Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord Yahweh, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?”“Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “rather than that he would turn from his ways and live?”

Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is contemptuous in his ways shall die.One who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, But one who is careless of conduct will die.
A fool shows his annoyance the same day, but one who overlooks an insult is prudent.A fool’s anger is known at once, But a prudent person conceals dishonor.

The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.
Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord, neither is one who is sent greater than he who sent him.Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.
Many will purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined, but the wicked will do wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.Many will be purged, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.
Who are you who judge another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
For, “He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.”For, “The one who desires life, to love and see good days, Must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; He must seek peace and pursue it.”
