And You are exalted as head over all. - You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!
- For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. - When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
- Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
- Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
- Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
- And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
- And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
- Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
- You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
- How they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
- There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
