Therein (3/4)

The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall lack. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me to tranquil streams. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.
This is the message that we have heard from him and that we declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save or to destroy. Who then are you to pass judgment on a neighbor?God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?
Therefore, strive to be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
So today acknowledge it and take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other. So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other.
Therefore, keep watch, for you do not know the day when your Lord is coming. So you, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
Remember that you were once a slave in the land of Egypt. The Lord, your God, brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore, the Lord, your God, has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with his strong hand and powerful arm. That is why the Lord your God has commanded you to rest on the Sabbath day.
If anyone wishes to serve me, he must follow me. Where I am, there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, my Father will honor that person.Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
Therefore, accept one another for the glory of God, just as Christ has accepted you. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
The Lord is my portion, I say to myself; therefore, I will place my hope in him.I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercy and the God of all consolation. He consoles us in all our afflictions and thereby enables us to console others in their tribulations, offering them the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Even though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, even though the olive crop will fail and the orchards will yield no food, even though the flock is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stalls, I will continue to rejoice in the Lord, and exult in the God of my salvation.Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
For his anger lasts for only a moment, while his goodwill endures for a lifetime. Weeping may last throughout the night, but at daybreak there is rejoicing. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.
The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer. The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
Blessed is the man whom God reproves. Therefore, do not reject the discipline of the Almighty. But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.
In love there is no fear; indeed, perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not yet achieved perfection in love.Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
Therefore, observe the commandments of the Lord, your God. Walk in his ways and fear him.So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.
Therefore, we fasted and prayed to God to grant us a safe journey, and he answered our prayer. So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.
Who has performed these deeds and accomplished this? Who has summoned the nations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am the first, and I will be there with the last.Who has done such mighty deeds, summoning each new generation from the beginning of time? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone am he.
Therefore, encourage one another and strengthen one another, as indeed you are doing. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance. In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
Every good act of giving and every perfect gift are from above, coming down from the Father of all light. With him there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.
And I heard a loud voice proclaim from the throne: “Behold, God’s dwelling is with mankind; he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will no longer be death. Neither will there be any mourning or crying or pain, for the old order has passed away.”I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. It is not his wish that any should perish but rather that all should be brought to repentance.

Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.Next verse! With image
