| For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee. | For Yahweh your God will bless you, as he promised you. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. You will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you. |
| Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this. | Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this. |

| And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. | Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us. Establish the work of our hands for us. Yes, establish the work of our hands. |
| Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. | Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life. |
| O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. | Yahweh, you are my God. I will exalt you! I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in complete faithfulness and truth. |
| That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. | That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! | Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for those who fear you, which you have worked for those who take refuge in you, before the sons of men! |

| For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. | For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness. |
| But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. | But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. |
| Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth. | Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth. |
| And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. | A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ |
