Bible Verses about 'Thou'
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. - Yahweh, you have searched me,
and you know me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up.
You perceive my thoughts from afar. - Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.
- For you, God, have tested us.
You have refined us, as silver is refined. - For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - ‘You shall not murder.’ ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ‘You shall not steal.’ ‘You shall not offer false testimony.’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ And, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
- But don’t forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
- “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”
- You are my hiding place.
You will preserve me from trouble.
You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. - For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- What is man, that you think of him?
What is the son of man, that you care for him? - But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe—and shudder.
- My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - For you will bless the righteous.
Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. - Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. - In the multitude of my thoughts within me,
your comforts delight my soul. - Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
- With the merciful you will show yourself merciful.
With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect. - Though an army should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear.
Though war should rise against me,
even then I will be confident. - Why are you in despair, my soul?
Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

- But now, Yahweh, you are our Father.
We are the clay and you our potter.
We all are the work of your hand. - But say the things which fit sound doctrine.
- But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
- His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
- Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me where I am, that they may see my glory which you have given me, for you loved me before the foundation of the world.
- Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.”
- When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow.
- This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

- Don’t say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.
- You are my hiding place and my shield.
I hope in your word. - But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
- Oh how great is your goodness,
which you have laid up for those who fear you,
which you have worked for those who take refuge in you,
before the sons of men! - My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him. - “Come now, and let’s reason together,” says Yahweh:
“Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” - Nevertheless in your manifold mercies you didn’t make a full end of them, nor forsake them; for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned,
and flame will not scorch you. - Before the mountains were born,
before you had formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. - For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh.
- Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us.
Establish the work of our hands for us.
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life.
