- But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you.

And on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased. - For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
- So the Lord commanded us to follow all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our own good always and for our survival, as it is today.
- And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.

Incline your ear to my sayings.

- Turn to my rebuke,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. - And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive
To the sound of my pleadings. - Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
- But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.”
- Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.
- Let’s examine and search out our ways,
And let’s return to the Lord. - Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
- I delight to do Your will, my God;
Your Law is within my heart. - For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
- So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
- There is a way which seems right to a person,
But its end is the way of death. - Now Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was betrothed to him, and was pregnant.
- But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.
