- But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.”

- The Lord God is my strength,
And He has made my feet like deer’s feet,
And has me walk on my high places. - The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice,
And he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him. - And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- In the exercise of His will He gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
- And He was saying, “That which comes out of the person, that is what defiles the person. For from within, out of the hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery, deeds of greed, wickedness, deceit, indecent behavior, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile the person.”
- And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
- Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; be careful about what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in injustice or partiality, or in the taking of a bribe.
- But the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.
- “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”
- What is desirable in a person is his kindness,
And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. - On the day of prosperity be happy,
But on the day of adversity consider:
God has made the one as well as the other
So that a person will not discover anything that will come after him. - A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity. - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.
- There is a way which seems right to a person,
But its end is the way of death. - Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people. - The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears
And rescues them from all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
And saves those who are crushed in spirit. - The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - A fool’s anger is known at once,
But a prudent person conceals dishonor.
