- But those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. - But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.
- However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- See, the enemy is puffed up;
his desires are not upright—
but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness. - Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise. - Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.
- Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
- Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
- Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
