- Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

yet I will be confident. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.

for they shall see God. - Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

When shall I come and appear before God? - Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

And who is a rock, except our God? - Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation. - And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
- Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
