- No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - Recognizing that laws are not designed for the upright. They are for the lawless and insubordinate, for the godless and sinful, for the unholy and irreligious; they are for those who slay their fathers and mothers, for murderers, for those who are fornicators, sodomites, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to the sound teaching that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which has been entrusted to me.

And the proof that he abides in us
is the Spirit that he has given us. - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever he pleases. - I ask that from the riches of his glory he may grant through his Spirit that you be strengthened with power in your inner being and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.

When shall I come to behold the face of God? - Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
- Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

does not know God,
because God is love. - God is Spirit,
and those who worship him
must worship in Spirit and truth. - God is our refuge and our strength,
a well-proved help in times of trouble. - Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
- Indeed, who is God except the Lord?
Who is the Rock besides our God? - Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a resolute spirit within me. - Let no one deceive you in any way.
That Day cannot come before the final rebellion occurs and the lawless one is revealed, the son of destruction. He is the adversary who sets himself in opposition to, and exalts himself above, every so-called god or object of worship, and who even seats himself in the temple of God, declaring himself to be God. - For who is God except the Lord?
Who is a rock aside from our God? - When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it, for God has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill the vow you have made.
- Beloved,
let us love one another,
because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to all those on whom his favor rests. - Even though the fig tree does not blossom
and there is no fruit on the vines,
even though the olive crop will fail
and the orchards will yield no food,
even though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
I will continue to rejoice in the Lord,
and exult in the God of my salvation. - Guide me in your truth and instruct me,
for you are God, my Savior,
and in you I hope all the day long. - Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son.
