Trust in god (2/4)

  • However, whoever lives by the truth
    comes to the light
    so that it may be clearly seen
    that his deeds have been done in God.
  • In God alone be at rest, O my soul;
    it is from him that my hope comes.
  • The fear of others will prove to be a snare,
    but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure.
  • The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him;
    no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
  • The way of God is blameless;
    the Lord’s promise has proved true.
    He is a shield to all
    who take refuge in him.
  • The way of God is blameless,
    and the Lord’s promise proves true;
    he is a shield to all
    who flee to him for safety.
  • My deliverance and my glory depend on God;
    he is my mighty rock and my refuge.
  • But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
    I place my hope in God my savior;
    my God will hear me.
  • The one who pays heed to instruction prospers,
    and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.
  • Even if an army encamps against me,
    my heart will not succumb to fear;
    even if war breaks out against me,
    I will not have my trust shaken.
  • In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
    let me never be put to shame;
    in your righteousness deliver me.
  • How great is your goodness, O Lord,
    which you have stored up for those who fear you
    and which you bestow on those who take refuge in you,
    in the presence of all the people.
  • The law of the Lord is perfect,
    affording refreshment to the soul.
    The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust,
    imparting wisdom to the simple.
  • May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may grow rich in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • As we proceed in the path of your judgments,
    we wait for you, O Lord;
    your name and your renown
    are all that our heart desires.
  • God created mankind in his image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.
  • Do not wear yourself out in the pursuit of wealth,
    and cease even to think about it.
  • I love you, O Lord, my strength,
    O Lord, my rock, my fortress, my deliverer.
    My God is my rock in whom I take refuge,
    my shield and the horn of my salvation,
    my stronghold.
  • The powerful suffer want and go hungry,
    but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing.
  • Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
  • The proud man’s heart is not upright,
    but the righteous man will live
    because of his faith.
  • Those who place their hope in the Lord
    will regain their strength.
    They will soar as with eagles’ wings,
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not become faint.
  • In the beginning was the Word,
    and the Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
  • With his feathers he will shelter you,
    and you will take refuge under his wings;
    his faithfulness serves as a protective shield.
  • For the word of the Lord is true,
    and he is faithful in everything he does.

No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us.
