- Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices. - Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint. - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
- For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
- But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
and speak the truth from their heart;
who do not slander with their tongue,
and do no evil to their friends,
nor take up a reproach against their neighbors.Next verse!With image
