- Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope. - But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - Lead me in your truth, and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all day long. - Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices. - Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord. - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- And now why do you delay? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
- O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in your word. - Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his steadfast love. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
- For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
- But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all consolation, who consoles us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to console those who are in any affliction with the consolation with which we ourselves are consoled by God.Next verse!With image
