- Wait on the Lord: be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord. - I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait,
and in his word do I hope. - But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
- My soul, wait thou only upon God;
for my expectation is from him. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - And therefore will the Lord wait,
that he may be gracious unto you,
and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. - But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint. - Yea, in the way of thy judgments,
O Lord, have we waited for thee;
the desire of our soul is to thy name,
and to the remembrance of thee. - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord. - And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
- My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Truly my soul waiteth upon God:
from him cometh my salvation. - The Lord is my portion, saith my soul;
therefore will I hope in him. - And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
- So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
- For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
- But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah.
