- In my Father’s house
there are many dwelling places.
If there were not,
would I have told you
that I am going to prepare a place for you? - Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
- If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with your whole heart, considering the great things he has done for you.
- Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
- Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
- And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be poured out for you.”
- O God, you are my God,
for whom I have been searching earnestly.
My soul yearns for you
and my body thirsts for you,
like the earth when it is parched,
arid and without water. - Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves.
- Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. - In peace I lie down and sleep,
for only with your help, O Lord,
can I rest secure. - Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - Although we are human beings, we do not engage in battle according to human standards.
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tested in every respect as we are, but without sinning.
- Yet even so, because of your great compassion,
you did not completely destroy them,
nor did you forsake them,
for you are a gracious and merciful God. - Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
save me, and I will be saved;
you are the one whom I praise. - Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you.
- O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. - He is not here. He has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified and rise again on the third day.
- Then he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
- May the Lord cause your love to increase and overflow for one another and for everyone else, just as our love does for you.
- O Lord, you are my God.
I will exalt you and praise your name,
for you have accomplished wonderful things,
formulated in ages past, faithful and sure. - Rejoice always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
- This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps.
- For you know that the testing of your faith will develop perseverance.
