- If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.

- I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise him,
the saving help of my countenance, and my God. - I ate no pleasant food. No meat or wine came into my mouth. I didn’t anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
- For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
