He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.In God, whose word I praise— in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them?
