- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted. - Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.
- The Lord is for me; I will not fear;
What can man do to me? - For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
- For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
- For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,” ’ ” declares the Lord God.
- He has told you, mortal one, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God? - What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
- If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
- For what does it benefit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
- Do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear. For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- As for you, see that what you heard from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
- For this is what the Lord says to the house of Israel:
“Seek Me so that you may live.” - But if we hope for what we do not see, through perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
- What is man that You think of him,
And a son of man that You are concerned about him? - I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- What then? Are we to sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Far from it!
- I am coming quickly; hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
- For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And He has filled the hungry soul with what is good. - Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.
- So that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?”
