- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
- But when you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
- What is desirable in a person is his kindness,
And it is better to be a poor person than a liar. - And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.

I shall not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
- When you make a vow to God, do not be late in paying it; for He takes no delight in fools. Pay what you vow!
- It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him. - Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
- Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
- The Lord will accomplish what concerns me;
Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting;
Do not abandon the works of Your hands. - See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek what is good for one another and for all people.
- If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
- When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
- Now go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, rather than sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
- For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, in order to keep you from doing whatever you want.
- For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to rein in the whole body as well.
- And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
- What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
- But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.
- To whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”
- So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - But as for you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
