| And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. | But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. |
| No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. | One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper, But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion. |
| If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him? | But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God remain in him? |

And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him. | The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him. |
| If someone says, “I love God,” but at the same time hates his brother, he is a liar. For whoever does not love the brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. | If someone says, “I love God,” and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. |
| And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. | And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. |

| One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship, but he who divulges it separates good friends. | One who conceals an offense seeks love, But one who repeats a matter separates close friends. |

| One who finds a wife finds happiness and receives favor from the Lord. | He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord. |
| A generous person will be enriched; he who refreshes others will also be refreshed. | A generous person will be prosperous, And one who gives others plenty of water will himself be given plenty. |
