| Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. | Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. |
| Whoever has no rule over his own spirit Is like a city broken down, without walls. | He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. |
