I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’
The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.
He who covers an offense promotes love; but he who repeats a matter separates best friends.Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”
Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.
But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.
The liberal soul shall be made fat. He who waters shall be watered also himself. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint.A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.
Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.”Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.”

One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him. Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.
If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
