- For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established; that is, that I may be encouraged together with you while among you, each of us by the other’s faith, both yours and mine.
- Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring out your righteousness as the light,
And your judgment as the noonday. - Pay to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
- Brothers and sisters, even if a person is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual are to restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you are not tempted as well.
- And not only this, but we also celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope.
- And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.

- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
- For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
Than to trust in people. - The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed. - Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.
- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Because the Lord anointed me
To bring good news to the humble;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim release to captives
And freedom to prisoners. - But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- The Lord is near to all who call on Him,
To all who call on Him in truth. - Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
- Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
- Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
- Pleasant words are a honeycomb,
Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you, judging your neighbor?
