- If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
- But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
- Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God. - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”
- So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
- No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
- But I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him!
Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted.O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you.
