For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. | For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. |

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. | For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law. |
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me. | Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. |
