- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
- For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
- Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
- A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
- And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
- And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
- And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
- Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
- That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
- This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
- Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
- And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.Next verse!With image
