than to possess immense wealth and suffer anguish. - I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything impossible for me to accomplish?
- The Lord is near to all who call out to him,
to all who call out to him sincerely. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in kindness. - In my anguish I cried out;
the Lord heard my plea,
and I was saved from all my troubles. - But you, O Lord, are a shield to protect me;
you are my glory and the one who raises my head high. - The one who pays heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. - A word is not even on my tongue
and you, O Lord, are completely aware of it. - Take delight in the Lord,
and he will grant you what your heart desires. - To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
