- Yahweh’s eyes are toward the righteous.
His ears listen to their cry. - Yahweh’s name is a strong tower:
the righteous run to him, and are safe. - I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom.
The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you! - The fear of Yahweh teaches wisdom.
Before honor is humility. - Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- Some trust in chariots, and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God. - He loves righteousness and justice.
The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. - The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright,
but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. - The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge,
but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction. - You shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
- Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him,
on those who hope in his loving kindness. - By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made:
all their army by the breath of his mouth. - Yahweh’s face is against those who do evil,
to cut off their memory from the earth. - Better is little, with the fear of Yahweh,
than great treasure with trouble. - Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul.
Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple. - Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles,
that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’ - The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.”
- Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, “Rejoice!”
- Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever. - You shall diligently keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.
- I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”
Then I said, “Here I am. Send me!” - You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God; for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.
