- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
- “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. - Keep your tongue from evil,
and your lips from speaking lies. - Teach me your way, Yahweh.
I will walk in your truth.
Make my heart undivided to fear your name. - But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- I delight to do your will, my God.
Yes, your law is within my heart. - Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin.
- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you. You shall labor six days, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work— neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- May he grant you your heart’s desire,
and fulfill all your counsel. - Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God. Yahweh is one. You shall love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might.
- Salvation belongs to Yahweh.
May your blessing be on your people. Selah. - Commit your deeds to Yahweh,
and your plans shall succeed. - You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
- Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,
but to your name give glory,
for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake. - Deep calls to deep at the noise of your waterfalls.
All your waves and your billows have swept over me. - My mouth shall be filled with your praise,
with your honor all day long. - Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.
Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me. - Tear your heart and not your garments,
and turn to Yahweh, your God;
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness,
and relents from sending calamity. - Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - Therefore be merciful,
even as your Father is also merciful. - If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
- Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Make the path of your feet level.
Let all of your ways be established. - Go your way—eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.
