- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - My soul thirsts for God,
for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.
- But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
- Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting! - For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God. - Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
- Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?
- I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
- Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
- Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord.
Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord. - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.
