| I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me. | I have chosen the faithful way; I have placed Your judgments before me. |

| And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. | And He summoned the crowd together with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” |
| In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. | When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, Your comfort delights my soul. |
| Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. | “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of armies, “that I may return to you,” says the Lord of armies. |
| Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. | Establish my footsteps in Your word, And do not let any wrongdoing have power over me. |

| Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold. | You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves. |
| Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. | As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. |
| In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. | In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? |

| Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. | Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have passed over me. |
| And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. | And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. |
| If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. | If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. |

| Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. | “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning.” |
| And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. | Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to reward each one as his work deserves. |
| He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. | The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ |
| But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. | But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God.” |
| But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. | But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. |
