- Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”
- This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.
- For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one. - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Give us this day our daily bread.
- For who is God except the Lord?
And who is a rock besides our God? - If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- So teach us to count our days
that we may gain a wise heart. - We love because he first loved us.
- For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus.”
- Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.”
- For just as the sufferings of Christ are abundant for us, so also our consolation is abundant through Christ.
- For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
- For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!
Lo, your king comes to you;
triumphant and victorious is he,
humble and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey. - The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,
and night to night declares knowledge.
To the one who conquers I will give a place with me on my throne, just as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.
