- Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that I need. - Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean;
remove the evil of your doings
from before my eyes;
cease to do evil. - Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you; by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am first,
and will be with the last. - And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.
- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.” But they did not hear or heed me, says the Lord.
- Take care, brothers and sisters, that none of you may have an evil, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- It is honorable to refrain from strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.
- Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- But you, O Lord, reign forever;
your throne endures to all generations. - Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
- So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.
- Until a spirit from on high is poured out on us,
and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field,
and the fruitful field is deemed a forest. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.
- Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life. - This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.
- From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
- But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
- You must neither add anything to what I command you nor take away anything from it, but keep the commandments of the Lord your God with which I am charging you.
- Train children in the right way,
and when old, they will not stray. - But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
