- Those who withhold kindness from a friend
forsake the fear of the Almighty. - In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the waters.
- The tongue of the righteous is choice silver;
the mind of the wicked is of little worth. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry. - The hope of the righteous ends in gladness,
but the expectation of the wicked comes to nothing. - Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
- But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves.
