What can flesh do to me? - Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.
- But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - Salvation belongs to Yahweh.
May your blessing be on your people. Selah. - Like a father has compassion on his children,
so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear him. - Turn back, and tell Hezekiah the prince of my people, ‘Yahweh, the God of David your father, says, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you will go up to Yahweh’s house.”’
- How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace,
who brings good news,
who proclaims salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” - Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.
- Preserve me, God, for I take refuge in you.
- His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - Make your face to shine on your servant.
Save me in your loving kindness. - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
- But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction.
- I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and I will save the house of Joseph.
I will bring them back,
for I have mercy on them.
They will be as though I had not cast them off,
for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them. - For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
- Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. - No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a container or puts it under a bed; but puts it on a stand, that those who enter in may see the light.
