Good faith (2/4)

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee.
Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.
How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
